Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a treatment that can give anyone’s skyn a fresh look. They are a great way to make your skyn look healthier and more vibrant, by removing damaged skyn layers, causing damaged skyn to shed. Chemical peels are often used by those who suffer from acne scars, as well as other skyn issues such as scars and sun damage.

Peels come in a variety of types and strengths, which allows us to tailor each treatment. Peels are the number one treatment to change the structure of your skyn.

Medical Grade Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels help increase collagen production, reduce fine lines, brown spots, and treat acne. At Skyngenuity, we offer a wide variety of chemical peels including prescription grade chemical peels. This enables us to tailor your treatment plan each time you return for a treatment.

Before & After Chemical Peels

BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE

Avoid exfoliating, using products containing Retin-A (Retinol, Retinoic acid, and Vitamin A), or acid containing products (AHA or BHA) for 7 days before (and after) your treatment.

Products and procedures to avoid before a chemical peel

Seven days prior to the peel avoid waxing, electrolysis, depilatory creams, and laser hair removal. Five to 7 days prior to the peel discontinue using any prescription topicals such as Retin-A, Differin or Tazorac, as well as any products containing retinol, alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA), beta hydroxyl acids (BHA), or benzoyl peroxide. Patients who have had any medical cosmetic facial treatments or procedures such as laser treatments, cosmetic fillers, or other surgical procedures should wait until skyn sensitivity has completely resolved before receiving a peel.
